Naked Stats
I had a chance to read Charles Wheelan's Naked Statistics: Stripping the Dread from the Data. It was an amazing read. Is statistics sexy? Perhaps not so much but Wheelan finds a way to make statistics relatable in a real-world way. I thought his chapter explaining regression analysis was really straightforward, clear and understandable even for beginners. If you are looking for a gentle introduction into statistics, you cannot go wrong with Wheelan's book. Perhaps by the end, you will be convinced that statistics can be sexy.
